The activities in the field of the general aviation represent a concrete reality, both in national field and International one, that has seen, in the years, the consolidation of the historical builders, those who made the general aviation (CESSNA, PIPER, BEECHCRAFT) and the birth and the development of new subjects (es.: Diamond Aircraft).
To preserve and develop this abundance of activities, it is necessary to start a continuous renewal of the products and a reduction of the costs of production and maintenance, without lower the standards of safety and reliability that makes the aeronautical sector an important example. These demands and requisites are more urgent in the Italian reality, that has the arduous assignment to compare with markets and builders of ampler breath and possibility.
In particular, the technical documentation to produce, both in aircrew field, with innumerable supports, both for all the parts that compose the structure of an aircraft, to purpose the supplying of a technicallogistics documentation that shows all the phases of the construction (planning, construction, maintenance), prompt different problem list for the industries, both in the pre-sale phase, that post-sale one.
This documentation takes, sideways, a fundamental role for persons involved in the work, on the other hand, introduces a series of problems that the IT, and hence the project TINAPICA, can give answer. Tons of documents, amenable continuous updates influencing considerably the phisycal dimensions of the same manual, the usury risk, that is the possibilità to not ensure the integrity of the contents, and mostly a difficult consultation is the main obstacle wherewith the project wants to face. A manual is divided in different books, chapters and sections, and it makes the search of information very difficult.
These problems make the production and the management of technical manuals very critical about the cycle of creation, consultation and updating, continually absorbing all the increasing costs.
The aim of TINAPICA program (Turing Information iNto Action, Production, Installation, maintenanCe and Assembly) is, then, the study, the development and the application of an innovative integrated software platform for the optimization of the contruction cycle, assembly and maintenance of works.
So, it is results strategic the adoption of the new technologies, edited to the combination among the Intelligent Training and Educational System and Maintenance Manual System, based on a middleware architecture able to produce and manage technical- logistic documents, according to standard recognized by the international community, guaranteeing functionality of multimodal fluidity, in the context of the evolved services for the activities of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance. This combination makes possible the idea to offer: a system of training and on-line consultation, based on S1000D and SCORM a system of on-line maintenance of the handbook one, that guarantees services of updating, of FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) and references to Advisory Circular (AC).
