Italsystem participates in SEASIDE project<\/p>\n
The de-icing system installed on aircraft is undoubtedly one of the most delicate on-board systems.<\/p>\n
For this reason, small aircraft are sometimes limited in their de-icing operation.<\/p>\n
This is all the more true considering that the installation of such systems is often constrained by the small size available on small aircraft.<\/p>\n
The low volume of the market also often makes it difficult to identify a suitable system supply chain to meet the requirements of SAT integrators at an acceptable cost.<\/p>\n
The SEASIDE - Smart Electro-expulsive System for SAT Aircrafts De-Icing - project, started in 2016, aims to address these issues by developing an innovative and compact electro-expulsive De-Icing system for the Piaggio P180 aircraft compliant with CS23 Appendix C.<\/p>\n
This was through the development and testing in IWT (Ice Wind Tunnel Test) of a prototype hybrid system (thermal and electro-expulsive) with a consumption per metre of wingspan of 0.6KW.<\/p>\n
A further aim of the SEASIDE project is to revitalise the supply chain, at national and European level, dedicated to the de-icing protection system for this category of aircraft, favouring the development of low-consumption and low-cost technology.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Italsystem partecipa al progetto SEASIDE Il sistema di De-icing installato sugli aeromobili \u00e8 senza dubbio uno dei sistemi di bordo pi\u00f9 delicati. Per tale motivo, i piccoli aerei sono talvolta limitati nell\u2019operazione di de-icing. Ci\u00f2 \u00e8 ancor pi\u00f9 vero se si considera che l\u2019installazione di tali sistemi \u00e8 spesso vincolata alle ridotte dimensioni disponibili su velivoli di piccola taglia. Il basso volume di mercato, inoltre, rende spesso difficoltoso individuare la catena di approvvigionamento di sistemi adatta a soddisfare i requisiti dagli integratori di SAT a costi accettabili. Il progetto SEASIDE \u2013 Smart Electro-expulsive System for SAT Aircrafts De-Icing\u00a0\u2013 iniziato nel 2016, ha l\u2019obiettivo di affrontare tali problematiche sviluppando un sistema di De-Icing elettro-espulsivo innovativo e compatto per il velivolo Piaggio P180 conforme al CS23 Appendice C. Ci\u00f2 attraverso lo sviluppo \u00a0e test in IWT (Ice Wind Tunnel Test ) di un prototipo di sistema ibrido (termico ed elettro-espulsivo) con un consumo per metro di apertura alare di 0,6KW.
