Hyplane
Avellino, 19th February 2016. CEO of Trans-Tech s.r.l. Gennaro Russo and the sole administrator of ItalSystem s.r.l. Giovanni Perrotta signed a letter of intent for the Hyplane project.
The project was conceived by Gennaro Russo, who is also director of the Center for Near Space of the Italian Institute for the Future, and Raffaele Savino, fluid dynamics professor at the Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II”, with the aim of proposing the development of a hypersonic business jet for six/eight passengers, which is able to take off and to land exploiting conventional airports, to travel routes such as Rome-New York in less than two hours at 30 km altitude, or offering a real “tourist” experience in space by climbing up to the 100 km of the Karman line.
The ItalSystem s.r.l. will contribute to the Hyplane project with the development of a basic simulator, thanks to the long experience in several similar Finmeccanica S.p.A. projects.
