Leonardo Helicopter Division chose Italsystem s.r.l. as a partner for the Independent Verification & Validation activities of Mission Aircraft Management Computer.
Expert Team of Italsystem analyzes all the elements of the software life cycle for avionics, that are developed by the Team of Design. The IV & V team monitors and evaluates all commissioned aspects of the project through consolidated approaches and according to the required certifications.
This analysis allows to fix problems and critical issues from the earliest planning stages, this work reduces the costs arising from failure not efficiently identified before.
IV & V activity requires experience in review of all aspects of the commissioned project and experience in appropriate legislation about formal aspects required for certification.
In this activity ItalSystem team improved experience in the functional aspects of the Aircraft Mission Management Computer and it produced the evidence required by the formal certification process according to RTCA DO178 / B Level B.
